Aerosmith is an American hard rock band often referred to as „The Bad Boys of Boston” and „America’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band.” The band plays traditional rhythm and blues-based rock, but throughout their long career, several styles have appeared in their music. While their early era was characterized by rhythm and blues and blues-based hard rock, in the 1980s they began to sound more pop and AOR, in addition to hard rock. Despite their many stylistic changes, they have managed to retain their unique image and have been a source of inspiration for many later rock bands.
